EVESHAM Wheelers held their annual Open ten-mile Time Trial for the Gerry Aldrich Trophy last Saturday.
A brisk wind proved troublesome on the new course based on the A46 dual carriageway at Salford Priors with many riders falling back some three minutes on personal best performances. However, National 25-mile champion Stuart Dangerfield made light work of the conditions recording 20.38.
Host club members were in the prize listings with 16-year old Tom Brazier recording 25.38 to win the junior category, while Arja Scarsbrook (27.15) won the ladies prize.

Sunday's weekly club run on was well supported again with over 20 members taking to the roads.
The race training run was led by Kevin Sargent on a hilly route through the Cotswolds to take coffee at Long Compton.
The second run was led by Gordon Taylor and took a run through Gloucestershire to take coffee at Tewkesbury.
Phil Pollard was in action in the Vale of Glamorgan Road Race, over 58 miles of hilly countryside.
He finished eighth in the bunch sprint to take his first point award of the season.
This Sunday the club run meets in the High Street at 9am and next Wednesday there is a club ten-mile Time Trial at Teddington Hands starting at 7pm.
