ST RICHARD'S Hospice will be around £2,500 better off thanks to the efforts of Evesham doctor Julie Edwardes.
The Riverside Surgery-based GP ran her first ever marathon in London, clocking a superb time of four hours, seven minutes and 17 seconds for the 26-mile 385-yard course around the capital.
"The last few miles were tough" said Julie, who is also a member of the Evesham Wheelers Cycling Club, honestly admitted. "But the pledges of money for the charity just kept me going. It was an amazing experience."
