THIS weekend 14 clubs in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are taking part in Play Tennis 2001 - Britain's biggest ever tennis campaign.
This huge promotion - organised by The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) takes place on Saturday and Sunday and is brings together tennis facilities offering free tennis opportunities for everyone.
The event is designed to benefit from the interest in the sport generated by the likes of Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski. It is hoped people taking part will want to continue playing regularly throughout the year at the local tennis clubs.

If you would like to take part in Play Tennis 2001 simply contact your local club.
Action takes place at Littletons on Sunday between 1 and 5pm when everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun!
There will be games, competitions and prizes for all ages and abilities, a free coaching session is offered to anyone who joins on the day and the opportunity to enter the club ballot for Wimbledon tickets.
Demonstration rackets and a ball machine will be available for everyone.
The event offers great opportunities for the people from the Vale of Evesham and surrounding areas to pick up a racket and have a go.
