A mother duck and her ducklings had to be herded back into a Worcester garden after going slightly quackers and trying to cross a busy road.
Alex Rumford believes the plucky mum and her lucky 13 were about to brave Ombersley Road to sample new waters at Gheluvelt Park, 500 yards from his home.
"She came into our garden and laid her eggs by our pond, which is so small we had put a ramp down for the ducklings to climb up," he said.
"After staying for a few days, we had to chase them back into the garden as they tried to make a dash for the park."
Mr Rumford's pond was frequented last year by a duck, who had 11 ducklings.
