THE new hospital is for the whole of Worcestershire and just happens to have been built in Worcester.
It is going to be used by the people of Worcestershire and will be difficult enough for those who live in Kidderminster in particular to get used to the name.
Names are very important and, even after many years, some people hearing they are being sent to Newtown Hospital will still think of the Poor Law.
The hospital should be called The Royal Worcestershire hospital or just the Worcestershire District Hospital.
