MALVERN RM now have a 15 goal advantage with two games to play in their quest for the championship.

MALVERN RM 7, THE DOVEY 0

Malvern RM had already beaten The Dovey 7-3 earlier in the season which before this weeks match was the team from Droitwich's worst result all season.

Malvern were hoping to win but never expected to dominate so much of this Worcester & District Sunday Football League Division Four match.

The Malvern team led 3-0 at half time with goals from Tim Clarke (2) on 23 and 40 minutes and Chris Golding on 30 minutes. More goals to follow in the second half through Chris Davis on 48 minutes, Martin Davis (2) 53 and 81 minutes and Mick Halford on 79 minutes.

Goalkeeper Steve Slater was called into action in the second half and had to make three excellent saves to give him his seventh clean sheet in 14 games.

Man of the Match was very close this week and could have gone to one of any seven outstanding performances but goalkeeper Steve Slater just pips the rest.

Malvern RM have no match this week but they are at home to local rival Keyz 2000 on Sunday, May 13 at Lower Howsell.
