VISITORS to the Avoncroft Museum over the weekend were treated to live re-enactments of the goings-on of yesteryear.
Members of The Wolfbane Historical Society used the period buildings at the museum, which is based near Bromsgrove, as backdrops to perform as "ordinary" people of the day and give visitors a taste of what it must really have been like to live in past centuries.
"The group re-enacted family life in a mediaeval Merchant House and a Victorian Toll House," said education and events officer, Sue Hadley.
"They also re-enacted a military parade involving soldiers of the 24th Regiment of Foot, who fought against the Zulus in South Africa."
The Wolfbane Historical Society, which tours the country, plans to visit the Avoncrfot Museum of Buildings again, later this year, on Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16.
