JOHN Hinton's comment regarding the fire power of one frigate exceeding that of the Grand Fleet at Jutland does not hold water.

Bearing in mind the prevailing and potential commitments of the Royal Navy, a simple mathematical exercise would enable him to realise that even two or three frigates cannot be at an infinite number of locations at the same time!

The ridiculously few numbers of ships now available, together with the mileage restrictions necessitated by the "fuel rationing" imposed by this incompetent Government, must make us a laughing stock.

And that's not taking account of the effect on the morale of our armed forces which are expected to achieve so much.
