A WOMAN at the wheel of a borrowed Ferrari discovered she was not insured, magistrates at Evesham were told.
Yvonne White, aged 24, of Broadway Road, Willersey, pleaded guilty last Thursday to having no insurance on February 22 and was fined £100, with £35 costs, and her licence endorsed with six penalty points.
The points could have triggered off a ban under the totting-up procedure, but magistrates found grounds of exceptional hardship - her work and family commitments - to avoid a ban.
Amer Hussein, for White, said she was driving a friend's car and thought she was covered but later discovered she was not.
He said the divorced mother of two needed to be able to take her children to school and back and also to get to work at Stratford.
