A RIOTOUS array of ceramics and coloured paintings are currently on display at Worcester Swan Theatre.
Art teacher Diana Wake, the artist responsible for the exhibits, also produces painted silks.
Visitors to the Swan can view her bold coloured paintings in the auditorium and her ceramics and painted silks in the bar.
Her interest in silk painting began several years ago when she painted a foxglove onto a silk tie as a 'frivolous' present for her husband.
As well as teaching in art and ceramics schools and adult education establishments, Mrs Wake has her own ceramics studio in which she develops her own work.
"For me, making pots and painting skills are gentle and relaxing artistic activities" she said.
"More than one of my adult ceramics pupils have commented that making pottery, for them, is 'better than yoga'!"
Mrs Wake's ceramics are in collections as far afield as Australia, America and the Virgin Islands.
Her work is on display at Worcester Swan Theatre from 11am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday, until next Saturday, May 26.
