ANOTHER collection box has been stolen from a Droitwich Spa charity shop.
Two collection tins have been taken from the St Richard's Hospice shop, in Gurneys Lane, since January.
The latest theft was on Friday May 4. Luckily for the Worcester hospice, the box had recently been emptied.
On the same day, one of the charity's containers was taken from Hereford House, in High Street.
St Richard's Hospice volunteer June Sankey, of Arrow Croft, Droitwich, said she found it difficult to describe how she feels about the thefts.
She added: "The kind of people who can steal from a charity must be desperate.
"After the theft in January we tied and taped the box to the till but somehow it was taken.
"The ladies who work in this shop devote hours of their time for free and it's disheartening when someone waltzes in and walks off with money people have donated to help victims of cancer."
A police spokeswoman said: "Thefts of this nature are often opportunist and although there was not a large quantity of money in the charity box, it does not make the theft any less despicable."
Anyone with information relating to the incident can call police on (01905) 723888.
