WITH even more injuries and tired from the cup final the night before, Garringtons started the game as if they were still in the dressing rooms.
It took HDA only five minutes to score when Rod Phillis turned his marker to score an easy goal.
In the 18th minute HDA were awarded a penalty and Michael Perkins duly converted. Garringtons continued to play badly until half time, with HDA well on top.
Managers Steve Evans and Kevin Walsh read the riot act to the players at half time and made changes.
Garringtons were now the better side and it was Kevin Banner who scored a great goal, volleying through a crowded goal mouth.
This encouraged Garringtons even more and it was a nice move down the left, and Dean Tilley switched the play to the right to score from 15 yards.
With ten minutes left to play, Anthony Pritchard scored from close range to give Garringtons the points.
