MEMBERS of a Studley theatre company are set to perform a classic murder mystery play this week written by the queen of crime Agatha Christie.
The Hollow will end the players' 2000-2001 season and will feature a host of new faces to add to the cast, in addition to the company's regular performers.
Set in an atmosphere of seething jealousies, bitter rivalry, unrequited love and spurned lovers, family and friends gather at The Hollow, which is the Angkatell family's country house.
But who is the murderer and who will be the victims?
Could it be Sir Henry or Lady Lucy Angkatell, a bohemian artist, the Harley Street doctor and his wife, a bachelor cousin or a glamorous film star?
Publicity officer Justin Wilks said: "The Cygnet Players promise an evening of style and suspense as well as edge-of-your-seat intrigue."
The last Cygnet Players' production was a double feast of comedy with two plays entitled A Woman Alone and Black Comedy in November.
Performances of The Hollow begin at 7.30pm at Studley Village Hall from tomorrow until Saturday.
Tickets cost £4 or £3.50 (concessions) from Studley News, Alcester Road, Studley Library, High Street, and members of the Cygnet Players.
