A MAN suffered injuries to his head and face after being pushed onto the railway line at Droitwich Train Station.
Town bobbies and the British Transport Police have teamed up to find the attacker.
The assault on the middle-aged victim occurred between 11.10pm and 11.50pm on Monday May 7.
PC Brian Cheshire, of Droitwich police, said: "The man was very lucky that he wasn't more seriously hurt.
"I believe there were witnesses to this seemingly unprovoked attack and I would appeal for them to come forward."
Detectives are hunting a man described as white, aged between 20 and 25, approximately 5ft 7in tall and of slim build.
He had a peaked cap worn backwards and a black dog.
