RETIRED folk are invited to consider their future in Droitwich Spa at a forthcoming open day.
Spa Housing Association is hosting an event on Wednesday May 23 as part of a national campaign to raise the profile of sheltered housing.
The Queen Street-based organisation is opening Copcut Court, in Waveney Road, to the public.
The event is aimed at retired people who are tenants or live in their own property, and residents who can visit on behalf of older relatives.
Guests can tour the complex which features flats and bungalows. Residents and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The association has accommodation across Droitwich, Wychbold, Ombersley, Hartlebury and Fernhill Heath.
Anyone aged over 60 can put their name on Wychavon District Council's waiting list.
Allocation of homes is based on an applicant's medial and housing status.
Housing association officer Julie Garrod said: "Sheltered housing offers independent living, but for those who want support, a warden can be on hand.
"Most complexes have a communal lounge, laundry and even a guest room which can be hired for visitors.
"You can enter a community of like-minded people and take part in the clubs, holidays and outings organised for tenants."
Organisers are laying on a buffet lunch at the open day which runs from 10am to 4pm.
