THIRD placed Barwell boosted Stourport Swifts' title ambitions after holding leaders Rushall Olympic to a 1-1 draw last night.
The result leaves the Midland Football Alliance on a knife-edge but wins for Swifts in their remaining two games would guarantee the championship and promotion to the Dr Martens Western Division.
Barwell are now level with second-placed Swifts on 89 points with Rushall on 90 and both teams have just one game to play.
Swifts travel to Bloxwich Town tomorrow night for a crunch match that could propel them to the top of the league with just one match left at Oadby Town next Monday.
Coach Gary Whild supervised a training session last night and has a full squad to choose from except for Mark Dearlove who is out with a long-term injury.
"Our preparations have been ideal," said Whild.
"We won 4-0 last Thursday against Wednesfield and had no game on Saturday so the lads are well rested.
"We are going into Thursday's match confident and our destiny is in our own hands."
