A DARING group of lads are set to bare all -- well almost -- at a Bromsgrove club next Saturday to raise cash for a cancer charity which is close to their hearts.
The regulars at Bromsgrove Labour Club, in Worcester Road, have agreed to perform The Almost Full Monty in front of their family, friends and visitors to the venue.
Over the years the club has supported a number of charities including premature baby wards and this year the chosen one is the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.
Steve Minett, who runs entertainment at the venue with Louise Rutter, suffered from cancer at the age of 21.
Now, at the age of 27, Steve is in the clear but thought this fundraiser would be a great way to create something positive from his experience.
The daring display starts at 7pm, but a barbecue and 12-hour darts and snooker marathons will run throughout the day.
Steve said: "When a loved one suffers from cancer it is a scary time not just for the afflicted but also for the family.
"With this in mind, this concert is to raise awareness and to let everyone who is touched by this disease know they are not alone and of course to raise as much cash as we can."
Imperial Cancer Research Fund is dedicated to the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer and relies on voluntary funding to carry out vital work.
Tickets at £3 are available from the club direct on (01527) 878036 or from the town's Imperial Cancer Research shop in High Street.
