ALCESTER'S Northfield League bowls squad continued their good run when they turned in another 100 per cent performance at home against Richmond.
With eight winners out of eight and a maximum ten league points Richmond were sent packing with a massive 80-shot hiding.
John Alderson was the best winner for Alcester with 21-4 and Renny Bannister 21-6. This makes four straight wins out of four for Alcester and should see them sitting at the top of the league table.
In the Heart of England League, Alcester A travelled to Black Horse and although every player performed well Black Horse had the edge and finished up victors by 20 shots. Alcester had three winners with skipper Renny Bannister best with 21-15 and Cath Osborne and Dave Hovell both 21-18.
The B team, meanwhile, entertained Austin RBL and although the teams shared the wins with four apiece, Alcester had two single figure defeats and could not recover from this as they were edged out by 14 shots. Stan Overton and Keith Bryan turned in best cards for Alcester, both 21-15, with Garrick Williams 21-17 and Gill Croft 21-19.
