A MEMBER of the team which represented Great Britain at the Sydney Paralympic Games in October will visit Arrow Vale Community High School on Friday.
Guest speaker Deborah Brennan, national record holder at 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m for wheelchair athletes with cerebral palsy, will present the school's class of 2001 with National Record of Achievement documents.
The UK, European and world championship gold medallist also took second place as a wheelchair user in the London marathon.
The presentation will take place at the final school assembly before students sit their A-level and GNVQ exams.
Assistant headteacher Roger Satterthwaite said: "Given Arrow Vale's status as a specialist sports college and our designation as the access centre for disabled students in this area, there could be few more appropriate guests."
