ALVECHURCH ended their cup drought with a 2-0 victory over Burman Hi-Ton in the final of the Smedley Crooke Cup.
Goals from Dean Meyrick and Michael Campbell sealed victory at Studley's Beehive ground, much to the delight of Church manager Mick Preece.
"It is brilliant to finally win some silverware for the club -- I cannot remember the last time Alvechurch actually won anything.
"They had a couple of chances but I thought we deserved to win in extremely hot conditions."
