SURELY it is now time for Pat Bannister and his associates to call it a day and pass over the running of Bromsgrove Rovers to local people who have some pride in the name Bromsgrove.
The majority of his staff and players live outside the area and do not have to endure the constant ribbing that supporters receive from workmates and friends after yet another defeat.
I am told that at one of the very early supporters' forums Pat Bannister said when the people of Bromsgrove had had enough of him he would go. Well, now will do nicely.
How is it that some teams can finish in the top half of the table when they only get 100 spectators, yet the Rovers get 300-plus gates and finish bottom of the league?
