I AM sure everybody in Bromsgrove is disappointed to see their football team has now been relegated for the third time in five seasons, this time out of the Dr Martens/Southern League.
The last time Bromsgrove played at this level was nearly 30 years ago but then they played the likes of Kidderminster and Nuneaton so it might be argued this is the lowest the club has ever sunk in its 116-year history.
There have been many problems both on and off the field this season and clearly substantial changes are needed within the club if the team is going to survive at Midland Alliance level let alone prosper and regain the days of former glories.
Bromsgrove Rovers Supporters Society has only one objective and that is to see success at the Victoria Ground. We just hope those in a better position than us within the club also share our single-minded determination.
In the right circumstances, we are ready and willing to play our part and co-operate with anybody sharing our vision.
But we believe all the people involved have to work together and be honest about their intentions and commitment to Bromsgrove Rovers.
We are prepared to give that undertaking and, if necessary, financial input to help get back up football's slippery slope.
Phil Baker,
Chairman,
Bromsgrove Rovers Supporters Society.
