A GOVERNMENT minister made an important visit to a Rubery nursery to explain new income tax relief to parents.
Social security minister Jeff Rooker stopped off at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, in Bristol Road South, to launch the Children's Tax Credit.
This new income tax relief is for people who have at least one child under 16-years-old living with them.
Mr Rooker, accompanied by his private parliamentary secretary, Richard Burden MP who covers Longbridge, also took time to sit with youngsters and joined in their activities.
Nursery secretary Brian Kite said: "The children had a wonderful time and Mr Rooker's visit was greatly appreciated by all at Jellybabies."
