BEWDLEY hung on to a Worcestershire League Division One draw and four points against Luctonians, thanks to Mark Hudson and Sam Stretton playing out the last four overs.
The venues for the first and second team matches had been switched at Luctonians' request.
But they had forgotten to tell the umpires of the first team fixture and they went to Herefordshire instead of Bewdley.
Bewdley's bowlers, depleted by injuries, toiled in the sun as the visitors' opening batsmen N Jeh (85) and K Pearson added 192.
John Peer's long spell (2-108) was rewarded when he bowled Pearson for 121 as Luctonians ended on 242-3.
The introduction of G Norman's left-arm spin (3-33) and the needless run-out of captain Simon Smith helped end Bewdley's progress.
And 51-1 became 60-4 when Mark Bennett went for a duck. Mark Venross scored 23.
Charlie Combes (31) held the innings together and Andy Hartley (22) provided four overs of hitting before Hudson and Stretton saved the day.
Luctonians 242-3 (16 points), Bewdley 131-9 (4).
A weakened Bewdley seconds were outclassed by strong Luctonians in a seven-wicket defeat.
They struggled for runs on a damp wicket although Andy Robinson (63 not out) batted steadily.
Robinson had some support from David Mills (21) in seeing the score to 137-6.
With the wicket easing, Luctonians took barely half the time to reach their target as D Morgan (39 not out) hit some massive sixes to end the game.
Aiden Laverty's diving catch gave Bewdley their only fielding bonus point.
Bewdley 137-6 (2), Luctonians 139-3 (20).
Bewdley Cavaliers, missing several regulars, fell to a 54-run defeat at Colwall thirds.
Cavaliers put up a respectable performance in the field to dismiss Colwall for 203 with Dave Cowdrey (3-19) the pick of the bowlers. M Harris took 2-23.
