WORCESTER Carnival Queen Kirsty Evans will be scaling new heights at the weekend when she raises money for charity.
Kirsty will hand over her crown on Thursday, June 7, but before then, she will host her charity day.
She plans to make a 12,000ft free fall tandem parachute jump on Saturday at the Duke of Gloucester Barracks, Cirencester, Gloucstershire.
Kirsty will make the jump with Dave Lewis, of the Icarus Parachute Team, based in Hereford.
Dave Price Motors of Droitwich Road, Worcester, has sponsored Kirsty for the fund-raising event.
"Each year the Carnival Queen has her day when she raises money for charity," said Mike Dandey, publicity officer for the carnival committee.
"Kirsty's chosen a rather unique way to do it. She's already raised more than £300.
"The good news is all the money will be donated to local charities."
Anyone wishing to sponsor Kirsty for her jump can call Mike Dandey on 01905 721523.
