ATHLETICS: Organisers have cancelled the Wyre Forest Marathon on June 24 after difficulties agreeing a route in the wake of the foot and mouth crisis.
But promoters Amazing Feet Running Club will definitely have a half-marathon in the Forest on the same date.
More information is available on the club's website at www.amazingfeet.co.uk or from Craig Freeman on 01299 823195.
Amazing Feet's Debbie Sault ran a superb race in the first Kingsbury Classic, recording a fine time of 48 minutes 10 seconds on the two-lap 10km course.
Sault finished fourth senior lady in 46th position overall, while Karen Yeates also ran well, ending up 63rd in 56-35.
Richard Baker turned out on Sunday in the Hill West 10km event in Sutton Park, Birmingham, completing the tough hilly two-lap race in 51-00.
