SWIMMING: Amy Smith won three of the four events she entered at the Nuneaton Open Sprint Meet and broke the Worcestershire junior record.
Wyre Forest Swimming Club's Smith smashed the freestyle sprint time with a fine effort of 27.96 seconds.
The record had stood since 1992 for swimmers aged 16 and under.
Smith, who swims as a 14-year-old, has another two years to better that time.
From 23 girls and nine boys competing at Nuneaton, the club swimmers returned with seven gold medals, five silver and four bronze.
Wyre Forest swimmers took gold and silver in the girls' 13-years freestyle event.
All races were held over 50 metres and awards were made for the top six places. There were 40 or more swimmers in some events.
