MAY I, through your column, thank the kind people of Evesham for supporting our plant/cake sale in the Methodist Church Courtyard on Saturday.
Not only were we blessed with beautiful weather but also with many kind people who bought generously in aid of our cause.
The Avonvale Special Needs Playgroup is a self-funding charity which caters for two - five year-olds from both Evesham and Pershore.
These children are referred by medical officers for having any kind of special need that needs extra support.
There is a high ratio of hard working staff and volunteers to children and we enjoy opportunities to combine raising funds with interacting within the community.
My personal thanks go to all the parents and staff who willingly gave up their time to help with the stalls and for the many people/organisations who donated plants. Also many thanks to the Methodist Church for their continued support. We managed to raise approximately £150 towards our running costs and everybody had a super morning.
MISS JAN LARGE, Chairman, Avonvale Special Needs Playgroup.
