SO a local pub is required by the district council to instal closed circuit television (CCTV) at a reported cost of £10,000.
Under any circumstances this could be considered unreasonable.
Such a demand coming from the council that has notably failed to instal CCTV in any of its town centres despite the continued national availability of central Government funding which, most recently, would have provided cameras and recording equipment for free, is truly incredible, not to say hypocritical.
How much longer are Wyre Forest's town centres to remain virtually the only centres throughout Worcestershire and the West Midlands not to have the protection of CCTV?
