NEXT Wednesday's National Hunt race meeting at Worcester has been transferred to Folkestone.
The Pitchcroft course has not fully recovered from the beating it took from the weather over the winter months.
No racing has taken place at Worcester for over eight months due to the amount of water which fell on the course and resulting drainage problems. Last Saturday's scheduled meeting was switched to Southwell.
After an inspection of the track, Ian Renton, who is group racing director of Worcester's owners Arena Leisure, said: "I'm afraid we've had to transfer to Folkestone, where we will hold a virtually identical card.
"The course has improved hugely but an additional sewage leak we had last week has led to a loss of grass in that area and we would not be ready in time.
"However, we are wholly confident that by June 9 we will be fit and ready to race again."
