WARDENS are patrolling Wyre Forest nature reserves every day in a bid to catch people who are ignoring signs warning them to keep out due to foot and mouth.
Andrew Dickens, head of the district council's cultural, leisure and commercial services division, said: "People are continuing to take the law into their own hands, removing tapes and notices.
"It is a problem, particularly in semi-rural areas."
He said wardens were out on patrol every day.
Although the authority could seek fines of up to £5,000 against those who ignored notices, it was seeking to win people over by persuasion.
