He drove home his message on the European currency by bringing the Tory Keep the Pound truck to Wyre Forest.
He claimed only the Conservatives could keep the native currency.
He said: "We have held repeated public meetings and surveys in Wyre Forest over the past year and the verdict is overwhelming - Wyre Forest people want to keep the pound."
Mr Simpson said Wyre Forest Conservatives had received 3,000 pledges to keep the pound adding to nearly a million nationwide.
