ARP/O50: The April meeting was well attended when over 70 members and visitors enjoyed a talk entitled 'Coast to Coast' given by Mr Tony Caldwell on behalf of the Heart Foundation. He described in detail the walk from the coast in Yorkshire to the Lake District, this took several days with overnight stops at local hostelries or inns. He did the walk along with other keen walkers who started off as strangers and ended up friends. The scenery was magnificent, the weather not too bad but after a good days walking the whole group looked forward to a good meal and a nights rest. We are still unable to take our monthly walks but 24 members enjoyed a good lunch at the Broom Hall Restaurant. At present some of our members are enjoying a few days holiday in Ireland. After lunch and announcements, names were taken for the Christmas break in Devon, theatre trips and Christmas dinner. The next meeting, which is open to non members and friends will be a talk by a member of the Red Cross Society and will be held at the Pershore Football Club, 10.30am on May 23.
