EVESHAM gained handsome revenge for defeat in the Mail on Sunday Classic when they recorded a Scratch league double over their neighbours from the The Vale.
The only Craycombe loser was team captain Stuart Ridley on a day when there were wins for Craig Moss (5 & 4), Gary Bristow (6 & 5) and Dan Haines (1 up). Warwick Holland halved his match in the 3-1 success.
Holland was the sole winner in a 3-2 scratch team win at Bransford but halves for Bristow, Haines, Ridley and John Duval proved enough on the day.
The club's senior team was also successful against Bransford when wins for Ken Hardiman and David Kater, Frank Hanley and Brian Tomkins, Ken Piddington and Robin Flack, Tony Hack and Owen Gale and Mike Whiteford & Rod Spencer. Captain Ray Smart and Gerald Ricketts made a half in the 5-1 win.
