HARVINGTON Golf Society held their first away day of this year when members paid an inaugural visit to the Kenilworth club.
Nine holes were played in the morning and 18 in the afternoon on a course which was in very good condition despite heavy overnight rain.
Some fairly impressive scoring saw Bob Claude take the Norman Whatmore Trophy for the best total over the full 27 holes, while Andy Basford has once again attracted the attention of the handicap commitee by winning the afternoon round to take the HGS Plate.
Results (am): 1 B Claude, 2 J Walters, 3 C Moss. (pm): 1 A Basford, 2 N Whatmore, 3 J Byrne. Longest Drive: A Boyd. Nearest Pin: N Whatmore.
