Tricia Hignett was the May speaker, on fashion jewellery, showing how items can be adapted for all occasions.
Margaret Tew, chairman of West Midlands Federation, welcomed all guilds to the 70th birthday party at the Civic Centre, Brierley Hill, when the theme of the evening was Ascot, and there was an array of hats.
Money raised during the event will be donated to Womankind World Wide. The evening ended with Jean Jones playing popular tunes on a keyboard.
The next meeting will be on June 5 when Miss Lewis will make a return visit on the subject of Delights and Delinquents and the competition will be for a small jug.
Betty Badham won the May competition for an edible necklace.
Visitors and new members are welcome at meetings at the Walshes Tenants Hall, doors open 2pm.
