At a recent meeting Henry Brugsch gave a talk entitled Ham Radio in the USA.
Henry (known as Hank K1HBJ to his American friends) described his introduction to the hobby in the early 1950s and the differences between the USA and UK licencing arrangements.
The next event is the annual DF competition in which teams of mobile stations, equipped with direction-finding equipment, attempt to locate a hidden transmitter somewhere in the Wyre Forest district.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 5 starting at 8pm at the Sutton Arms to collect instructions and map. First transmission is at 8.10pm.
