DREAMS can come true, as they did earlier this month for Daniel Cummings, as 24-year- old from Upton-upon-Severn, whose ambition was to race motorcycles.
This he accomplished by racing at both Mallory and Doning-ton Park at the start of the Honda CB500 Super Cup and Honda Hornets season.
Race one saw Cumm-ings leading the field for two laps to take fourth position despite minor brake problems which were rectified for the second race which saw him take seventh position from a grid start of 16th of 19 competitors.
The trip to Donington showed great promise until he had a near miss, which left him nowhere to go but the grass.
He came back and rejoined the race to take fifth position on a track he had never experienced before.
Race two saw a gallant effort starting from the back row of 22 riders and on the last bend he took sixth pole ahead of the previous day's double winner.
The rider has gained some sponsorship from R A Moto a new bike, scooter servicing shop at Waterside, Evesham and he is hoping to generate more sponsorship to support his new venture.
Pop into R A Moto for updates and have a chat with the Upton-based racer about his early experiences on track.
