FIFTY years ago, Malvern was the venue for a conference of the Faculty of Teachers in Commerce - and one delegate, Mr MacDougal Grant, cycled 400 miles to attend.
The intrepid Scot told the Gazette that he intended to return via Snowdonia, the Pennines and Newcastle - some 1,500 miles in total.
