RANGERS travelled to reigning and also this year's Worcester League Saturday Premier Division champions Littleton on Saturday morning with a weakened squad due to injuries, work commitments and one player failing to arrive.
LITTLETON 4, MALVERN RANGERS 1
Rangers were second best on the day in most areas of the pitch and were 3-0 down midway through the second half before Rangers scored a consolation goal when Marc Kitchener laid the ball back to Simon Rea to score a good goal in to the corner of the net. For the next ten minutes or so Rangers enjoyed their best spell of the game and David Beats whipped in a couple of good crosses but regrettably Rangers couldn't get the vital touch to reduce arrears. Right on the stroke of full time Littleton scored a fourth goal.
Littleton goal scorers: Steve Pitcher, Neil Emms, Nick Stanley, Philip Haines.
Joint Men of the Match were Simon Rea and Mark White.
Rangers, sponsored by The Three Horseshoes, play their final game this Saturday when they entertain Kempsey at Victoria Playing fields, kick-off 3pm. Players meet ground 2.15pm.
