A trip to Ireland is on the horizon for David and Barbara Wilkinson, the winners of the Mixed Millennium Pairs Golf Classic at the Worcestershire Golf Club.
This qualifying competition was played on the full course in very favourable weather, it proved a very close result with three pairs on 35 points, losing on countback were John and Margaret Duncan and Mary Horrobin and Terry O'Donell.
The final day of the winter season mixed golf was the Douglas Bader qualifying round and closed meeting. Winners of the closed meeting were Derek and Daphne Phillips 40 points, runners up John and Margaret Duncan 39 points, 3rd Paul and Joanna York 37 points, 4th Gordon and Audrey Emery 37 points.
After adjustments due to the handicap restrictions the Bader Cup qualifiers were teenagers Joanne and Paul Yorke.
