MANOR Park Men's D match against Bromsgrove D was closely contested with Bromsgrove running out eventual winners by four rubbers to two.

Possibly the key point in the match was one of the games Michael Lane & Ian Elias featured in, playing a tie break and 6-1 up they contrived to lose it.

Scorer John Dyke & Stephen Bamford won 6-4, 6-4 and 6-0, 6-0; Ian Elias & Michael Lane lost 6-7, 4-6, and 3-6, 6-7; Michael Taylor & Brendon Lawler lost 1-6, 2-6 and 1-6, 1-6.

On the social side the previous night a Quiz Evening was held which was won by Sarah Kitchen's team with a score of 63. The next social event will be a supper on July 21 at the Club.
