Road-users in Wyre Forest are being reminded of the need to curb speed with the piloting of a new roadside, speed-activated sign.
Speed Alert, a trailer featuring a solar-powered sign, is being deployed by the county council as part of its joint campaign with West Mercia Police to cut motorcycle speeds.
The aim of the pilot scheme, which will take place throughout Worcestershire, is to educate motorists by alerting them to their speed and the current speed limit.
If a driver is over the limit, the sign will flash the speed the vehicle is travelling. The sign will also indicate drivers travelling at the correct speed by showing a steady display.
