SWING bowler Rob Smith blitzed local rivals Bridewell on Saturday as he claimed Stone's best ever league figures.
Smith tore through the visitors to finish with a career best 8-22 as Bridewell were shot out for 33 in 19.4 overs in the Worcestershire County League Division Five.
Pete Durnell took the first two wickets to put Stone on top before Smith produced his devastating spell.
In his final five overs, he claimed 8-8 as the visitors crumbled from an already precarious 22-2.
Smith bowled five of his victims as he finished Bridewell off with a deadly burst of five wickets in eight balls.
Stone lost three wickets before Matt Tyrrell chipped a six to clinch the club's third league win out of as many games.
Bridewell 33 all out (1 point), Stone 36-3 (20 points).
