THIRTEEN first school teams from across Wychavon met at Droitwich Rugby Club's Glyn Mitchell memorial ground for the SSAB Swedish Steel/Regal Garage Year Three and Four Tag rugby tournament last Wednesday.
This was the second year Droitwich hosted a tag tournament, following on from a season of in-school coaching across the entire 29 primary schools in Wychavon.
After heated competition, Hindlip narrowly beat St Joesephs to take the overall winners, followed by Broadway who beat Westlands in a third/fourth place play-off.
Westlands First school won the sportsmanship team award, while the 'most valuable player' of the event was awarded to Laura Bradley of Harvington First school.

Spa will be running a summer skills course over the summer which will be open to anyone wanting to improve their skills.Cost is £10 for the ten-week course, which starts today.
