HOW pleased we were to see in the Advertiser (May 9) that Arrow Vale Community High School had taken part in a Keep Redditch Tidy litter pick.
A few weeks ago, we had occasion to write to that school about the amount of litter in its vicinity.
We are pleased to note that there has been a marked improvement of late.
We hope that the students will continue to take a pride in the local area and that we shall see less and less litter.
One other matter causes us some concern.
We appreciate that after a fatal accident some people wish to place flowers at the scene. That is their choice.
But surely it is no fitting memorial to the deceased when the flowers are left long past their best?
There are at least two such "memorials" on the Warwick Highway at the moment.
