TENNIS: Hilary Hatt and Wendy King, ladies A and B captains at Stourport Tennis Club, led their players to their first victories of the season.
The A team beat Droitwich 5-2 and the B side overcame Barnt Green 6-0.
Hatt and Carole Lewis have yet to lose a match this season for the As.
There were wins for Sally Martyn Smith on her first appearance of the season, Helen Bradley, Rhian Robinson and Di Ferris.
The only match the B team did not win was when third pair Di Ferris and Sandy Williams' second fixture was abandoned due to a thunderstorm.
Rosie Williams and Lindsay Bleach-Wilson at first pair and second pair Hilary Kilby and Wendy King completed a successful afternoon.
Unfortunately, when the mixed B team visited Stourbridge, Karen Simmonds, partnering men's captain Roger Houldsworth, broke her arm.
Bram Skidmore and King won one match but the match had to be conceded 1-3.
The men's C team have now amassed 21 points as they easily beat Hallow 7-0.
Skidmore, replacing the injured Gareth Williams, and Steve Newbury, Graham Ashmore and Nick Mantle, and Nick Lathe and Andy Southall were the pairings.
