SHOOTING: Winning the Hereford and Worcestershire junior section was not enough for 15-year-old clay pigeon shooter Brett Thomas.
The Stourport High School pupil did so well at Sporting Heights, Clows Top, that he also beat all the senior shooters to become full county champion.
Thomas excelled himself in the all-round clay shooting championship with a score of 92 ex 100 over four disciplines - compact sporting, down the line, automatic ball trap and English skeet.
The teenager has shot for the county's junior team for two years and has staked a persuasive claim for a place in the senior squad.
And the sport runs in the Thomas family as brother Greg is also involved, while dad Rob and his brother Richard compete for the county.
