GOLF: Kidderminster Golf Club's pairing of Nick Underwood and David Perkins were not successful in their bid to qualify for the final of the Lombard Trophy.
But the duo came a commendable joint seventh - just two points behind the winners.
Underwood is the club professional, while amateur Perkins plays off a 13 handicap.
They finished on a score of 68, tying with eight other pairs, and there were five teams joint second on 67.
The event at Coventry Golf Club was won by a Great Barr duo, professional Richard Spragg and 15-handicap Steve Peak, with 66.
