BETTER bus services may be provided for Feckenham residents from September after a meeting between residents and county council representatives.
Residents were asked for their views on how transport services could be improved as part of a major county transport review.
Peter Roberts is network co-ordinator of the passenger and fleet transport unit, a county council unit which is part of the environmental services directorate.
He said: "We have approached all parish councils as part of a feasibility study on what their transport needs are but it's important to point out nothing has been agreed yet.
"It is part of a systematic review of transport in all areas of the county, including social services, public and education transport."
Feckenham Parish Council chairman Doug Hickman said: "It was suggested a feeder service could be provided to serve Feckenham and Bradley Green, which could be linked to an existing number 350 service in Inkberrow, which goes through Astwood Bank and Cookhill to Worcester.
"They have taken our comments away and it's possible that come September, they may be able to give Feckenham a better bus service on a daily basis.
"Buses run on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through Feckenham to Redditch and also take passengers to Sainsburys.
"Although the Thursday service is well-used, it can get a bit full.
"There is also no service to Tesco, but it was suggested a service could be introduced on a daily basis, every two hours, to Tesco and the Alexandra Hospital."
